In a NYC clubbing era long gone, the Pyramid was a cornerstone of forward-thinking queer club culture. In what could be considered a sign of the times, the venue’s sole remaining gay soiree is Friday night’s decidedly nonprogressive ’80s dancefest, 1984. Otherwise, the charmingly decrepit space features the long running drum ’n’ bass bash, Konkrete Jungle, as well as a rotating roster of goth and new-wave affairs.
