Apollo Theater

As New York’s hub for R&B music, the venerable Apollo has helped launch the careers of Ella Fitzgerald, Michael Jackson and D’Angelo, to name a few, and it has more recently hosted everyone from T.I. and Keyshia Cole to Little Richard and Salif Keita. The theater presents the revamped Showtime at the Apollo TV program, and the stars of tomorrow continue to line up for Wednesday’s Amateur Night.
